I am SUPER confused. I've been searching and searching all night, and am getting conflicting information.

I have a 87 Grand national T-Top.

I need the weatherstriping that is ON THE CAR BODY.
When you take the T-tops off its exposed.

This looks like it to me.....

I emailed the Guy on ebay and asked him if they were gm part # 20201220 and 20201221. He replies back YES!

I am all set to order them. I go over to GMparts and the price is $59 and $69. Im like hmm either that guy lied and those arent the right part # or i am going to get them for super cheap :)

After searching the forums for seriously 4+ hours.

I came across this link....

#1 is the seal that i need and its calling the part # 20211820 and 20211821

This post says that the 20211820 and 20211821 are indeed the T-TOP BODY seals and claims 20201220 and 20201221 are Door seals

This post says that the 20201220 and 20201221 are the T-TOP BODY seals and then says that 20211820 and 20211821 are Door seals.

Up the front A pillar, around where the ttops sit and back down behind the window, thats the part i want.

Sorry if this is confusing, i just dont want to order the wrong part :(

Thanks
Rob

T-Top weather strips

If you need the kind that goes from the bottom of the windshield pillar, up and around the top then down to the rear of the door,(not on the door itself) it's called T-Top Glass seal weatherstripping, and only use genuine GM weatherstrips. I just ordered my set that I found on eBay....eBay No. 200062360626. Jennings Chevrolet sells them for $209.99 a pair with $14.00 to ship them. They are located at 241 Waukegan Road, Glenview, Illinois 60025. Give them a call at 1-800-244-3782, M-F 8Am-5Pm, Central time. The T-Top GM weatherstrips come with a one year guarantee. The website is a buy it now at the price I stated. Please only use genuine GM, as Dennis Kirban has told me from his own experince. The people at Jennings are really nice folks. Enter this search number on eBay and you'll find all the info on the weatherstripping.
The other types are the ones that go on the outside edge of the T-Tops. They go for about 60-70 bucks a pair.
The T-Top glass seal weatherstrips, genuine GM, from Jennings, are about the cheapest I've been able to find in all my searching for them. But do not get aftermarket weatherstrip for your Grand National. You'll have all kinds of fit problems. And from what I've read, they are a bitch to put in, but, isn't everything on our Grand Nationals a bitch already?;)

Hope this helps.

Grand National T-Top weatherstripping

You're welcome. Glad to be of service. :D

Please let me know how you do with installing your weatherstrips. I'm going to go by my '87 Body Service Manual procedure soon, but could learn also from others.

Putting the new weatherstipping in is a piece of cake..it's removing all the old adhesive that is the PITA...here's a writeup I did years ago on how to replace the T-Top weatherstripping...

T-Top weatherstrip, Grand National

Scott, you're a Godsend. :p That will greatly help me when I get my weatherstrips in and work up the courage to do it. Lots of other things in my way at the time, but will do it. I really appreciate the information on the removal and installation.:D What an experienced group here, you included. Thanks a lot.
