I am sorry Joe, dont mean to piss anyone off but I was not happy at all with the product support when I received my BS3. PTE should state that they come with a start up disk and thats it. I had a problem with my BS3 and got very little help from you. Matter of fact you told me "dont worry, jsut drive it" even though it was pulling -22.7 fuel out of the table and running like a pig. I called several times and no one at pte knew anything about the BS3 (they told me you were the man) so I had to leave several messages to you. You did call me back once. It was to the point I had to drive to Bill Andersons Shop (4.5 hours) to fix this problem. And amazingly it started up again so I am going to Bill again when the weather allows me to. I dont mean to be rude or anything but I wish I bought from a more supportive vendor. I tried my best to lower the numbers, I played with it for days but I feel something is wrong.

thanks
Ralph

Klhammet, hope you dont think I hijacked your post.

Ralph

 Sorry Ralph........

But let me make a clear statement here on this board for the RECORD...

" I have never told You or any one else for that matter, to just drive their car if they were having a problem with their system."

I spend much of my time at PTE, including my own personal time helping people with their BS3 or Fast problems or tuning issues.

Contrary to your statement, the BS3 does come with a start-up program, along with full instruction manuals included on the CD-ROM. The instruction manuals on the disk provides the step by step information you require, including actual screen shots.

My normal routine with all technical problem calls would be to resolve the issues. If they could not be resolved by proven corrective actions for sensor, programing, or wiring issues, I would request the system be returned for evaluation.

When I provide information or instruction to the user to try and resolve the problem or issue, I always ask them to let me know the outcome.

I know at times I am very difficult to reach, but I will always call back if messg. is left.

There are several issues that maybe causing your problem that I would like for you to verify. Give me a call at your convience and lets get your problem solved.

In closing No you didn't P--s me off but almost :D

Thanks for the reply Joe, I appreicate it. You stated to me the startup disk you guys created was almost the exact combo that my car had (diff turbo). The car did start right up and all and I was excited. Then I started to read the manual and got some ideas's. When I called you I asked what should I look for , you said check the tps% and jsut drive the car. Then I stated well it is pulling -22.7% fuel at idle, something is up. So you told me to play wit the numbers. No matter how muich I played wiht them the number would not go down OR the car would run out of fuel. Bill Anderson worked on it for 2.5 hours, I made 505 rwhp on pump gas. 1 week later, car is acting up. hard starts and first 5 minutes it sounds like it is running on 4 cylinders, then it clears up. I checked the number, again, -22.7% at idle. Sooo, as of now, the intake is offf and the heads. I am redoing the entire fuel system as well, -6 return, -8 feed, aeromotive reg. I am hoping this is going to fix the problem (maybe a kink in the return line kept the fuel there??). Thanks for your help. Car will be ready hopefully in a month.

FWIW, installing a fuel pressure guage in the return line (by the regulator), would have let you see if there was excessive return line pressure.

You might consider putting in a pair of line couplers up by the fuel rail/ pressure regulator. I have mine above my alternator (Champion A/C relocated). That way I can T into either, and both are really easy to get to when taking things apart.

Good, that means I can wait for the UPS guy to drop it on your front porch and snag it....:D

Sorry, But youll have to catch him walking into my shop:D
And youll have to get past my Aunt:p

Did you get Jumper harness made or are you going to a stand alone from F.A.S.T?

Will the new FAST plug into the old FAST harness ???

Doesn't really sound like it. The BS3 is a plug and play with the FAST I was told.

I'm not terribly fond of my BS3. For one thing, it's malfunctioning and my vendor wasn't too helpful (ahem, ahem). Also, there is NO WAY to contact Meaney's parent company for the BS3, it all goes through the vendor. So now I have to send it to the vendor, then he can send it to BS3 corporate (or wherever for repairs).

Then once it goes to BS3, I'll get to pay a nice hefty up-charge to go to the sequential unit or to get the latest iteration since mine came out so long, long ago (almost a year I think).

If mine is bad, I'll be blowing it up rather than paying for upgrades to fix the damn thing after less than a year of non-professional racing. Then I'll get a FAST or DFI from someone who gives a sh!t about keeping me as a customer after tens of thousands of dollars.

No it doesnt plug right in ,but i am holding it in my hands right now

This is very interesting, what problems have you been having with it??

I have a grounded circuit on the fuel pump. The cooling fan circuit is also goofy. Whenever there is battery power, the fuel pump and cooling fans run. It gets old using the master power cutoff switch to shut off the fan and fuel pump.
