I HATE it.

It's a Chevy, BOTTON LINE!

A disgrace to carry the GTO badge for those who are "true" Ponitac enthusiast and I know several.

What do these "true Pontiac enthusiasts" think of the TTA? I mean, it sucks too because it's really just a Camabuick, right?

We finally got a rear drive V8 preformance car and all of these people continue to whine. Maybe you people would be happy to go back to, say the mid '70's. Yea, each car had it's own v8 engine with 110hp, rear drive, awesome styling
The car is brand new! Give it a year or two, an LS-6 or LS-2 then see what happens.

The 64-74 Pontiac GTOs and the new GM/corporate/Pontiac GTOs are not the same, and have nothing in common other than they are GM products. The old GTOs were fun in their day and have continued through the years to do the same. Not the fastest even in their day, nor everyones favorite ride, the owners and admirers of the old GTOs like them for what they are or whatever their reason.

The new corporate GTO while looks to have great performance potential ( styling a matter of personal taste of course) , really can't be compared to the original Pontiacs. Unfortunatly it looks as though there will never be a "real" Pontiac powered car again, that is just the way it is, but the name/ badge Pontiac will remain for who knows how long? anyway, personally I don't know if I really care what GM does anymore, just to bad they could not market the new car in a better way.

As a car enthusiast of many makes and models I can appriciate the new GTO for what it can do (looks aside), and the original GTOs for the same, however having been involved with original GTOs for 26 years, in clubs, and judging at shows, the new cars have their place but not really with the old at events or being compared with, they are not the same car ...period.

The TTA is a different story. I know this is 2 faced but it's still a fact.

The TTA is the FASTEST Pontiac that Buick ever built:D

No thanks, they can keep their chevys!

So if the '05 GTO comes with a 400-425hp LS-6 and/or is capable of low13's-high 12's (which was faster than a stock TTA) the car would be considered OK and welcome in the Pontiac club?

Don't get me wrong, I think it could look better but considering that GM actually brought this to us is a huge step in the right direction. This is a car that was already in production! Wait until the restyle or complete redesign in a few years.

I too would love to see all of the Musclecars of the late '60's running around again but it's never going to happen. Especially when the Big 3 hears everybody cry about the lack of rear drive/ v8 performance cars then does something about it only to hear everybody bitch. If I was running GM, it would make me want to tell everyone to get lost and stick to building the bread&butter trucks, SUV's and malibu's.

I voted "sucks". My vote was based on styling only. The hood scoops don't help any IMO.

It looks too much like the cavalier, grand-am and the grand-prix. If I you pay that kind of cash for a car it should have some visual distinction. The GN and real GTO's had visual distinction and when you couple that with good performance you have a very desirable car.

New GM vehicles don't have any visual appeal and their build quality still sucks. Performance is their only positive attribute.

Why can't gm put out a turbo or supercharged version of it like ford did with the cobra??
Also think it needs different styling!

I seem to recall stock TTAs running low 13s.., as I was there and the cars belong to friends of mine, some bought them new.

I don't care if that chevy runs 11s the Pontiacs guys still view it as a chevy and so do I as Buick guy. As a Buick enthusiast I love the TTAs and just may own one some time. But the car that is the topic of this thread IS a chevy, and will ALWAYS be a chevy.

At least Buick still has it's own engine regardless of what some people want to believe.

I'm sick of all this corporate CRAP. GM SUCKS and i'm done with buying their junk. PERIOD!!!
