Hello all, new member.
I have had my all stock 87 GN since 1991 and haven't done a thing to it. A couple summers it actually stayed parked in the garage while I got married, bought house etc..

This year was different! Cash ----> Car
Basic Mods..

160 Stat
Driver & Pass Breathers
Cold Air Kit
Adjustable FPR & Wastegate
Walbro 340 & Hotwire Kit
Hooker Cat Back
Gauges: Boost,Temp & Volts (volts will become knock I think)
Turbolink / Laptop

There is a vast amount of knowledge here and I could use some advice. Whats my next move ?.

I was looking at upping my injectors to 36# or 38#. From my readings, back in the day it was blue tops or 868's. Since these arent readily available anymore whats a good injector / chip combo in this range.

If anyone has any advice, please, I'm all ears (eyes). I still got about a grand to blow. These cars ARE a disease !!!
 
50's with a decent chip won't be a problem I use Bosch 43's myself but they limit your chipmaker choices.

If your turbo is fine I would add a V4 and have fun. :)

If not PTE44.

The turbo is solid, no end play at all & spins very free....
 
Stock location CAS (charged air systems) V4 intercooler upgrade.

Or a big neck on the stock intercooler.

Tons of stuff you can do, depending on what you want out of the car down the road. :)
 
i vote for a te-44, 50's and a big neck stock intercooler and maybe a 3 inch downpipe (mandrel bent of course) if money allows for it:D
 
I would get away from the stock MAF. It is going to quit one of these days and they are almost impossible to get a good one.

Go with the translator+ and an extender chip. If your going to upgrade your injectors do the chip and injectors at the same time.

your probably right. The translator and MAF is something I am considering. How do these things mount in place of the orignal ? Is there an adapter bracket or do you come up with your own.. I've seen a bunch of pictures with them on the car but can't really determine how they are mounted.
