Jason, my post had nothing to do with taking anything away from Don. He has a fast car there is no doubt. I will go on record as saying it was cool at Norwalk when his car ran the 9.2? and did not even look like it was laboring to do it. To me his ten is crazy fast but now that you have been a .12 and Dick a .14, I guess these kinda times are gettingto be more the norm.
Now that it is clear my post is not intended to hurt Don, I still think the track looks down hill from the picture and since I posted that another guy called me and said he thought the same thing. Now before anybody gets their panties in a bunch here is my other statement: Anybody could have gone and raced there so if it is downhill they could have had that going for them also, so no room to bitch.
Take care, Kip

PS Jason, thanks for the response.
If you stand at the starting line is looks uphill till you cross the finish line, then makes a downhill slope then back up.

Otto, a buddy of mine who lived in that area for a while saidhe felt it was downhill from what he saw when racing there. Also said he was always ran a little slower at the other area tracks and this is what he thought was the cause.
Disclaimer before anyone jumps on me, once again notto take anything away from Don as anybody else could have gone and raced TSM there but nobody did.
See ya, Kip

if it is downhill

If my aunt had a dick she would be my uncle.

I saw a picture(on the net, like this one) of a chicken with 4 wings. Caption was "Kentucky Fried Chicken Genetically Altered Chickens". More wings from less birds.... I think the pic was misleading...as I didn't actually SEE the bird.

Maybe somebody should call the track and see if they used level when they built it....then maybe the haters could find something else to hate on.

I also heard they ski down Cecil's track during the winter. Found a pic for that too:

;)

That's the bird!!! ...... "Buffalo Wildly Altered Wings"

That can't be the ski competiton at Cecil....Cecil is downhill.
That picture is on flat land. Doesn't that look WAAAAY to flat to ski on...I talked to a friend of mine who said Cecil was faster to ski on than the other local ski courses.:D   Could just be the way that picture looks to ME though...

That bird is scary hahhaha.

You can snow ski at Cecil and water ski at my local track. Pics from this spring:eek:

If your aunt becomes your uncle then what does that make your uncle?

On the hater thing, I will try to make this even more clear than above. I am not trying to take anything from Don. I the track is not down hill great, if it is he used it to his advantage and I consider that smart. So how am I hating?
Once again anybody else could have raced there.
Since I am trying to show there is no hate maybe this will be seen as positive, I think it is great Jason and Don drug their cars all over this year when they could as it made TSM more interesting.

With Love, Kip

We have 2 local tracks in the area. One "appears" downhill and the other appears flat. Funny thing is we usually get better times on the flat looking track. :p

Anyway Congrats to Don on the record. Hopefully you can go faster at Reynolds.

A TSM competitor of Don's already called NHRA and spoke with the Division director who stated that the track was 100% legal and that they have never factored it otherwise. I'll go on record stating that I wasn't happy when they added this race to the series. IMO: There are already enough races up North. When we were the only ones that showed that just enforced my opinion. We could just as easily had the race in FL, GA or MS.

I'd vote for the new Zmax Dragstrip here in Charlotte... Which by the way, looks like it's slightly downhill. So does Vegas from pics I've seen. Probably an illusion off the black-top from the angle of view.

Wow, looks like a good place for some jet ski drags.... :

OH HELL YA!

I have over 27 hours of enjoyment since July 5th with my Jetski.
I dont think even after all my year racing I have that much in
any one of my cars:biggrin:

Why Cecil?

Why did we go out East to Cecil you ask? Number one reason was to move a TSM event out East where there has never been such and give those on the "right coast" a shot at TSM notoriety. The NE GS/GN chapter is known for being a large group of Buick die hards. Unfortunately, the idea did not work.

One thing we have to have is an existing Buick event. I see no way in hell that we could organize an entire event with just TSO and TSM race classes. Further, there is not enough time in a day for me and Mr. Lyons (TSO director) to run an entire event and our respective classes.

In order to "let the racers decide", which is how TSM and the TSO & TSM point series got started, I am considering letting the registered TSM racers vote on where to hold the fifth TSM event (BG, Norwalk, Columbus and wherever the Indiana/Chicago chapters decide to hold the Midwest Buick Challenge are pretty much foregone conclusions).
