....Now Wilod Horse Pass Motor Sports Park, opens tonight for FRIDAY NIGHT RUN WHAT YA BRUNG.

$30 car and driver, $10 spectators.

They will have one test -n-tune lane open tomorrow during the day, also.

Woo Hoo!

glad to see they reopened it.
I sure Guy will school them on "old grandpa Buicks"

They had 448 cars with tech cards on Friday night. I didn't go out but I was told the staging lane line stretched all the way back to the Goodyear Bridge that crosses over the shut down area.

I went out on Saturday and really took it easy. I didn't want to piss anybody off the first time out with the new staff. :ROFLMAO: They hired a mix of old Speedworld and Firebird employees, sort of took the cream of the crop, so to speak. It's a nice bunch out there now.

I only made 2 passes, 1st pass was 11.14 @ 125.6 and as I said, taking it easy with a 1.71 60 ft time. On the next pass the pre-stage lights weren't working so it was a little strange trying to build boost. Again, the 60 ft time was 1.72 and the MPH was 125.4 but it had a weird little blip on the 2-3 shift and I ran an 11.42.

I didn't get out there till past noon and they only had on TNT lane open because it was a Summit Series race so I packed up, had a beer and drove home after that.

It's nice to have a track open again!

Sounds like your car was running pretty well. I'm glad you guys got your dragstrip back! On a similar topic it looks like ours is back open for business too.

It's encouraging to hear some are making a come back instead of disappearing forever. :D

We need to keep making our voices heard, that and find more people with deep pockets........... :sneaky:
