I had similar things happen when my car was nearly stock..... at a local 1/8 mile track..... cause everyone with anything.... trailer cars included like to jump on these black cars.... regardless of any mods or not..... seems like they all (if they actually win).... think of it as a feather in their cap.... if they can beat a black car....
Well... I'm there with little to no mods.... pump gas... 14 psi boost.... stock turbo and intercooler.... running 8.30's in the 1/8.... this 80 model or so malibu station wagon.... which came in on a trailer.... lined up with me on test and tune night.....open headers... slicks and all..... of course he pulled me about 2 or 3 lengths by half track.... where he started patting the gas.... until the finish line..... I'll never forget that... .. I felt like I wasn't flooring it.....
I plan on going back there soon after I get my new bullit installed and dialed in..... after alot of tuning I ought to be in the high 6's in the 1/8 fairly quickly......
Don't think I don't want to line up again..... lets just say I feel the need to settle a score....
I won't go around looking for trouble.... but I don't think I will have any problem... he will see the car... and rush to the starting line.....we will see... we will see....
