Yea. I wish but they're greedy cheap asses like the other oil giants  Make all the money you can and try not to spend it repairing what's needed. They just had to order 50,000 feet of 18 and 24 inch pipe with an expedited delivery to try and keep the oil flowing for the west coast refineries. If this line goes down Cali will most likely see a gas shortage.
Although the price/barrel droped as a result of the English airport issues, gas is expected to go up again with the Alaska pipeline problems.

IMHO, there is only a "PERCEIVED" shortage. Not saying we should all drive bigger cars and that there is "zero" shortage, but, there are no shortages to the extend we are seeing in "gas price increase" in the last 2 years.
Will someone who is WELL informed and works in the industry PLEASE tell me I am wrong?

TTT ........ LOL!
Is this going to be an annual thread?

$ 3.259 for 91 octane Arco crapola for my '02 Z06 at the least expensive station that I know of in Orange County, and $ 5.799 for V.P. 100 octane unleaded (good stuff) at the pump for my turbobuick, also in Orange County. Razor's alky control kit going on one of these days.

Observe that at least in my area of So Cal, while 91 Arco crapola premium went back down to maybe about $ 2.359 or so but now is back and higher at $3.359 , the cost of 100 octane V.P. unleaded only went up $.10, ( a dime).
This should tell you something about what raises the cost of gasoline.
1:The fact that is is not and can not be regulated pricewise.
2: We can't do without it, even if we try to cut back.
3: Corporate Greed
4: everything else in the way of excuses is just plain BS.
