The Z06 saga continues:

Went back to the dealer that I had checked out a silver Z06 for $69.5K out the door. Looked at it Wed or Thurs but could not make up my mind, even at that price, whether I really wanted to take the plunge or not. Went back today, and the silver had sold, leaving a red Z06. As I was looking at it, a salesman came over, not the one that I had spoke with last week, and asked if I was interested in the red one. I told him that I wasn't sure, but that I would like a cash price out the door complete with tax and license. Both of these cars were priced identical last week, $69.5K out the door with tax & license). He came back about 5 mins later and told me that as it was the last one that they had, they wanted $72.7K out the door. About $3K+ more than last week. Fwiw, in Kali, these are disappearing quick. Buy now and beat the rush. I am also hearing recently that we are no longer 50 state cars, so bringing one in from out of state might be getting difficult

I appreciate the suggestions, but I don't really think that they will deal, I don't want red, and if it come to this choice, I will get slammed about 12K more even with some incentives and order / get a new '09, 3 LZ optioned, silver, ebony & titaninum interior.

Uh, thanks, but no thanks. Not a GTR fan, but I know that they are quick. Unfortunately, they are, in my opinion, not exactly an attractrive car in appearance.

Gary the chevy dealer here in Temecula has a silver one on the lot. Dont know if its the one you want or what the options are on it.

Gary, I have driven a new Z06, and let me tell you...it has sh!t your pants power. I was in 2nd gear doing 25 mph at about 800 rpm, I put the car i sport mode and put the hammer down, before I could even catch my breath I looked down and I was doing well over 75mph.

If I had the cash, I would have been driving home that day in it. It was one hell of a car.

Oh by the way, I was able to drive it cause I went to a CarMax to have my daily driver appraised, the sales people said while I was waiting I could drive ANYTHING i wanted...and well what do you know, they had a new silver Z06 sitting there on the lot. It had 1200 miles on it. When I asked the salesman if I could drive it (I was waiting for a NO) he walked away and came back with the KEYS!!!! He had no clue about the power that the new Z06 had, and when I did the second gear pull he just about passed out.

Drive it once Gary, and you will be hooked!!!!!
