Hey guys, on eBay there's some wastegates for sale that say genuine tail wastegate for like 200 bucks. Anyone run one of these? Also how can I find out what mm I need? I just got a new dp and not sure what size to run. Thanks.

You get what you play for. I have had a couple of customers come in with EVERY piston destroyed because their cheap w/g stuck closed. It's insurance get a good American Made unit like a JGS.

Wasn't it the TIALS that had the sticking problems if run w/ race gas?? Seems you had to make a choice of TIAL part #'s depending on the fuel used??
Google it, and see.

I'll put it this way, we don't run Tial. JGS on everything.

As for the e-bay stuff, must guys have too much invested to get to this point to go cheap.

I got my genuine Tial from Precision Turbo for close to that price, no sticking problems here.

Thanks guys, I to believe you get what you pay for, glad I checked into this. As for knowing what size I need like 38 or 44 so on, how do I find that out? Measure the opening on the dp?

Assuming this is for the GN. A small gate like a 38~40 would do. We were able to regulate boost down to 5 psi with a 302, 76mm and a single JGS 40mm W/G. It will bolt in place of Tial 38.

Try PTE new gate. We are using them in place of the turbosmarts now...

If it's like the old ATR style pipes (which it probably is), the 38mm should be a direct fit.
