hey guys,

I just got done putting all this stuff on my car, and some stuff that was already on their.
pt51 turbo
3" THDP
50# injectors
port and polsihed stock heads
agj. fuel pres. reg.
2800 stall converter
shift kit
7 pos. agj. chip
340 walbro pump (hotwired)
power plate
2.5 hooker duals
posi rear end
forged pistions
agj. waste gate
mass air sensor from a monte carlo
k and n air filter
i'm going to race with either slicks or drag radials
116 gas
maybe 25pounds of boost
any help would be great i liked to know what i might be able to run so i can tune and mess around with settings.
thanks guys.

Nope, sorry..I see an 11.4 maybe, or 11.3, but no 10 in there, sorry. The coinverter is on the tight side for a 51 as well. I think you'll like it better with a couple hundred more RPM

not enough turbo (unless crazy boost), marginal injector, converter will limit your launch and you will need low 1.5x 60' times.......only on "real" slicks, not DR's, not ET Streets

with lots of boost and good launch, mid 11's

thanks guys i didn't think it would be able to turn high tens. i'll be very happy with mid to low 11s because the car is going to be driven just about every day. (of course lower boost and pump gas). Any way i think that will be plenty for me because at my school all the kids my age are in to the import scene, so i'll have fun stumping on all of them. its funny they all criticize me about how ugly my car is and how slow it probabbly is i wonder if the'll change their minds when i'm about ten car lenghts in front of them with their honda civics. Thanks for the information guys.

I would be happy just to get my car to hook and stop blowing gaskets. The only run at a track on my combo was a 7.92 1/8 at 90mph with a 1.91 60' .One legger rear end until now.It was on 93 octane too and I think my HG was slightly blown behind the header as it had a light popping( I thought too rich) but never went away until it really popped a few weeks ago.I would like to see at least mid 11s on race gas with my combo. It takes alot of tuning when you change so much at once.I suck at tuning my car.Let us know how it does.

Your combination is much like my last one. You don't mention what I/C you have, but I had a TE 51 w/a front mount. TurboJim is totally on target- your best bang for the buck w/that combination is a 3200 stall converter. Perfect for a 51. It was easy to get 15-17# launches. Sometimes more than the brakes could hold, actually. The difference between the 3200 and the 28 that was in the car when I bought it was night and day, but still very streetable.

You have a great combination and the car is much faster than any street tire will hold anyway. Have fun killing those GT's, SS's, ZO6's.....

The responses are dead on with their prediction. That is the exact combo I was running and applying the HP I was able to get to your car (assuming 3,650lbs w/driver) I come up with 11.40 if you can get at least low-1.60s 60'. I ran 25+psi boost and could have run more but not sure it would have been beneficial.

Hey Scottie,

I've looked at your website before, and just took another look today. I love my GN, but your combo is awesome! I drove Z cars when I was younger, and the combination of the handling and the Buick power must be a blast. I can only imagine how many Vipers and the like you've shamed. In the late 50's and early 60's engine swaps were common. Not so anymore. I have a couple of Miata's, and briefly toyed w/the idea of a 5.0 swap, but you have inspired me to get out the measuring tape....

Anyway, great job!

Thanks John. Folks are starting to catch on to the incredible advantage of putting this awesome drivetrain in a lighter, sleeker, better balanced car. You will start seeing more LC2-powered hybrids in the future. Cannot seem to get lucky to line up with a Viper but you can see it would take a well-driven Hennessy to beat me. Chances are he would not even give me a 2nd look :D.

Webpage is way out of date and I am working on a new one.
