I'd get the Turbonetics 66 single BB turbo with that stall.

Good with or without heads and cam.

Assuming you are in the future going to go with heads and cam. on the motor?

Comp. cams. 980's or equivalent for valve springs.

Jack Cotton should be able to help you with both items.

Good advice- just got mine installed, and it's a night and day difference from the PT-54 to the T-66 BB!

you have 55,000 miles on your car i say its time to change the valve springs.

Also to get a car to pull hard you must have good compression.

On my old 100k motor I could rotate it with one arm by grabbing the flywheel. My 1/8 mile MPH was ok but my 1/8 to 1/4 it would never break 21 MPH.

Go with the big dog spool up is crazy, make that real crazy, especially with that convertor U have. I do have a few supporting mods but the difference was nite and day from my old T63e. 0 to 20 lbs of boost in .6 seconds.

What he said. The 50's are plenty of injector with the stock heads and a PAC alky kit. No need for the 60's unless you plan on going over 125 mph. Plan on running 25psi.

axl,i would research this a little further before making a decision.all the above turbo's make enough power to push the internal parts of your engine and drivetrain to and beyond its limits.even the ta-49 that you currently run will make 550fwhp the 61 series turbo's will make 600 and the pt67 will make in the neighborhood of 750 all of which will require engine work in the area of strengthening and flow.

I agree with Mr.Spool.and besides your TA-49 will take you well into the 11s with proper tuning...Good luck!!

Very true but he wanted to go with the biggest turbo without affecting spool too much. Pretty much anything BB with a 76 turbine will get it done. Any more exhaust wheel and it will need considerably more stall even BB. Thats why i would go with the 6776. With a good tune at 25psi it should be able to go 121-122mph fairly easy even on the unopened engine. My personal safe cut off for a stock bottom end LC2 is 125 mph in a 3600 lb car. Thats with absolutely zero detonation. The stock heads will limit the airflow in most instances so that the boost pressure will have to be turned up to 28-30psi to get the 125mph. In those situations the stock head bolts and gaskets wont be able to keep the heads from lifting causing head gasket failure quickly. With cam and heads the 125mph can be had much easier and reliably still with the stock bottom end.

Guys I appreciate all your responses especially those who went into detail with reasons/explanations to support their suggestions. I like being able to whoop on all the local V8s and such and then when they ask about the Mods I get to tell them its all bolt ons and an UNOPENED ENGINE on a little V6.

As BISON said I do want to go with the biggest but I know that COMBINATION is everything with these cars...so I guess I need the BIGGEST that FITS BEST with my current COMBO.

However...i am starting to get an ITCH that may end up getting scratched when it comes to the HEADS, INTAKE, CAM, ETC.

i have a te62 fresh from percision for sale it pushed my t 11:77 at 116mph 42lbs 3200 l/u
