Having a kid now I really need a full blown 4 door truck. It seems like Nissan Titans have great reviews and right not I can get one $9000 off of MSRP. I currently have a 2000 F150 that I'm going to trade in. It's a great truck, but only a supercab and the back is pretty cramped. I'd like a new F150, but the deals on the new Titan are great this weekend. Any of you own one, and what do you think?

My dad has one, I am not really a truck guy, but I enjoy driving it around. It's very comfortable.

I got my Titan LE 3 weeks ago and so far so good.
I've driven G.M.'s for years and the Titan just feels more nimble and powerful.
Pulls like a freight train with it's 305 hp. Tows no problem. Better than my 04 G.M.with a 5.3.
Does seem to use fuel though, hopefully it will get better when it's broken in.

Well, I ended up trading in the F150 for a Titan. It is an 06 SE Crew Cab 2WD with Tow Package, LSD, PS, PW, PDL, a Real alarm, Power drivers seat, power defogging mirrors, etc. My wife and I really stuck to our original offer and did pretty well. We got 5K off MSRP and 10K for the trade 
which is almost 3K more than KBB Fair trade in value. At first they only offered $4500 for my F150 and 3K off MSRP. I really like it. If is very comfortable to drive and I'm very comfortable driving a Nissan since I have had 3 others and all of them were sold with almost 200k on them and no major problems ever. I have to admit my F150 was pretty good to me as well.

Actually, I think it was designed in California, which is like a foreign country, sometimes. The Nissan Titan is a US truck. Nobody in Japan owns one (unless they are multimillionaire). They are either made in Tenessee or Texas for American, by Americans.
My Dodge Ram was made in Mexico for a German Company. I think my Yukon XL was made in Mexico, too.
I personally think Titans are Hideous, but they do appear to be an OK truck.

I get into debates weekly with friends that foriegn trucks are going to outsell domestics in a few years. It will NEVER happen - at least in our lifetimes.
Why do I know this? I have several friends in the trades - they HAVE to drive domestic trucks - and the companies have to buy them. These poor guys can't even rive their wife's Pathfinder or RAV4 to work if their truck is broke down. It is an understood rule that if a foreign car or truck shows up on a union jobsite - its gets keyed, tires slashed, etc.
Whether its right or wrong, at least in the Chicago area, F150s, followed by Chevy and Dodge are the mainstays for tradesman, both business and personal. Unless you want your vehicle trashed....

This is always huge debate. Even if the lion's share of the profits go back to Japan, the manufacturing plant is still in America. American's can put food on the table thanks to Nissan Titan.
Having said that, I test drove an F350 4x4 diesel this past weekend. First time I ever drove a diesel. It was brand new (only 9 miles on it) so it drove wonderfully, of course.
Now I gotta try the Duramax and see how I like that sucker.
(I am interested in the 250 not the 350, but they didn't have one on the lot.)
