(See my combo below).

A buddy of mine wants to trade me a Precision .85 housing for my Precision .63.

With my single disk Vigilante I see (via directscan) 3600rpm stall on a soft launch (2# boost) and approx 4000RPM stall on a hard launch (10-12# boost).

How much difference can I expect in the two housings? Is this a bad idea?

Thanks,
-Banning.

Since he is your buddy you both can try them first. Mine worked decent on the 63 but I think street snap would have been better with the .63 housing.

When I switched from my PTE .63 to my present PTE .85, the difference in spool up wasn't even enough to be noteworthy (but then again, I've always had quick spool tricks in my "bag of goodies). The big end charge however was where the difference came in.
Between 1 - 1.5 mph

Thanks guys,
Spool up really isn't much of a concern for me. I'd actually like the turbo to spool a little SLOWER on the street. As it is now, if I leave at idle it'll blow the tires off all the way through first and into second (295/50 BFG's). As long as it wouldn't take forever to get the turbo spinning, I think I'll try and go for the .85.

Anyone else?
