you just put a ck trans in and now you want to sale it

from the looks of the car from the above picture probley 10-14K range

i really want a cobra.. and my so called two car garage is more like one and a half:mad:

so going for a down grade eh... my brother had a 03 cobra and man its a nice car but not as nice as my buick. i almost bought a 04 for a daily driver but didn't. wish i did but you know how that goes. keep the buick

Tony, good luck with your decision but keep in mind that there are very few really nice GN's that are fast approaching "Classic" status, as nice as Cobras are, they are quite plentiful and most likely will never achive the respect your beautful GN commands, I'll bet every gearhead in your area "knows" of your car, that's respect
Good luck.

Kevin.

I have a good friend with an 03. They are nice but not something I would trade a GN for. I don't think you will be happy with your decision to trade or sell in a year from now. I have full access to his car. It gets dull after a while. I never get that feeling with the GN. Modding it is not cheap and the Buick is much easier to work on. They remind me of Supras, dyno queens are the majority. In the right hands they can be awesome cars and down right fast.
You plan to keep it a stick?
Blower upgrade? Turbo?
Keep the IRS or do a Live Axle?

IMO, Don't do it. A few yrs back I said that's it no more Buicks, I got a TTA sold it, got a syclone sold that, got a 69 GTO RA III vert sold that, got a Firehawk sold that, got a 05 GTO sold that. (all of them I did the mods and got them into the mid/ low 11's) In the end ...... I could never recapture the happiness I had with the GN thus I'm back with a wallet that is way lighter than it used to be.

thanks for all the replies, another reason is we dont have a GN shop out here like some other states:mad: so my tuning abilities are limited so i know im not pushing the car like i should. fear of gernading the engine. there is a great engine builder/tuner out here for cobras.. his runs 8.8 all day:eek: and looks like a show car! but im still thinking about it really hard

there was a guy in here trading his 03 cobra real nice by the way for a GN or i think he wanted 23 grand for it..i say dont do it..thats a real nice clean GN..a cobra will loose its value in a couple of months ur GN just keeps going up in value...

Is it just the car or the lc2 you want to get rid of? I have that fear of not being able to get on the engine whenever I want because it may not hold up. The body style is way too sharp to get rid of...

Good Choice. Personally I hate Fords, and Mustangs ... BUT I have ALWAYS wanted an 03-04 Cobra!!! ---

If your looking for ideas on fair market value on your car.. I'd say its prolly worth about $500.00.. what was your paypal addy again?

Sell your MAF, stock computer etc. It will fund a good deal of the cost of a used XFI system, you then can get it tuned for the street and the track. Lots of Buick knowledge just down the road in Phoenix.

or keep your stock stuff and buy a powerlogger with a lc-1 and we can help you tune/ gain the knowledge you need to get your car running great.

I can see its time to switch...... I say SELL it! It will either make you happy or miss it. You will find out over time. I am 9 years into TB's and want out badly.

That makes sense about tuning or lack of shops..

I feel the same way except I have EXCELLENT folks close by
as in Grump, Russ, Jack, Otto.... I JUST DON"T want to spend an ARM & LEG on my T. Its not worth it.

As for the above mentioned RAPIDLY APROACHING collector car status I think that will happen when the 80's generation retires and has the money to throw around on collector cars.............................................................................................................................................................................................

Looks like a really nice car that has had quit a bit of money spent on it. No way I'd sale it in the 10k-14k range. I know the market is not great but my thinking is some where a little north of 15k......

i have over 30k tight up in this thing.. and i do love the car, just wished we had great shops like some of you do.. maybe ill call arizonagn and see what it might cost to get it tuned right, like i said to much money tight up in it just to kill the engine. i guess im stuck with her cause i would never sale her for less then 20K or a trade for a cobra

tony, but a powerlogger and lc1 and all of use can tune it for you. or i can tune it for you ;)
