It's not what you think:)
Due to the fact my car has about 37k on it I would feel bad about "ruining" it by modding it. I looked around, and found a few potential replacements for about 5-7k. The big question is what could I get for my car? It has 37,500 on the odo. the paint has faded some, there is a small rust spot on the drivers door by the mirror(otherwise NO body rust) it's a t top car, and ummmm that's all I can think of. With new tires(I bealive it has origonal rubber) some paint, and a lower half of the back seat, and valve springs, and some cleaning it would be perfect. I think 7-8 as is or 10-12 restored to "perfect" seems fair. What do you guys think?

I would keep what you got.If you mod it you can always take the bolt ons back off, just save your stock stuff. If you get into a $5k-$7k TR it could nickel and dime you to death just with a lot of little things. The prices on parts aren't getting any better. At least with your car you know what you have.Unless you plan on doing a lot of racing then you might consider getting rid of it for a solid roof car.But a few mods wont hurt.

Keep yours and buy another one to play with, then you have the best of both worlds:D

What do you have in mind as far as mods go? If it is simple bolt ons that can be removed then you could do them to your car, if you want to go tens then buy a car already set up to do that, it will save you a ton in the end. There was another thread about why ten second cars don't sell that you should read, it will open your horizons a little.
