Guys,
A buddy of mine has a TA 64 gtq .85 turbo that he's getting rid of. I know there is about a 70 hp difference in the "ratings" of these two turbos. I can probably get the turbo for a decent price, but not a steal. First, do I have what it takes to support it, and do you think it would be worth the upgrade?

quit being a sissy and grow some hair...lol:D

55's might be a bit on the short side. I used the new 60/65's that Mike Licht sells (no ECM mods needed).

Ported heads are a plus.

I think that 3500 is to low, IMHO, but you would probably rather want to blow your brains out rather then go through the trouble of taking it out having it restalled.:D

I made my decision after I did a search on "gtq" and "gt-q". Give it a try.

If I could grow some hair I wouldn't need a cool car! ;)

I'm just trying to figure out if it will be worth the step up. I think I could get by with the 55s until I actually get the car running fast, and then the alky will probably cover the small gap in fuel.

At least I called you a buddy, I could have called you much worse!! ;)

So, how much?

I'm not finding anything on the 64 gtq. All I get is some celica's and supra bs.

WTF?

Did you search this and the "other" board, or did you search google/yahoo?

I got all the bs through google. When I did a search on here I got very little. Maybe I'll talk to jeff.
