Third brake light install help!

My third brake light had been previously removed when i bought the car, so I am trying to put one back on. They cut the wires in the trunk so If I extend the wires can i just run them into prongs on the underside of the third brake light or do I need some kind of connector? I have no idea what it looks like under the third brake light. Thanks for any help or pictures

One wire goes to ground,the other wire goes to the white wire coming off the brake switch under the dash on the steering column.

Sorry If i didn't state the question clear enough. I have the ground and battery wire in my trunk, I need to attach them to the third brake light that doesn't have a pigtail/plug, do I need to make some kind of connector plug?

2 options I come up with are Xasper Electronics or the junk yard. Any 86/87 Buick will be a good donor.

I left out the option of splicing wires, due toway too inconvenient to do maintenance later.
