I always thought this site was slower than any other site I've ever been on but, thought part of the reason could have been a 3 yr old PC. No, even with cable net and a brand new Mac Book, this site takes forever compared to others. That said I don't really know anything about computers and I don't care why this site is slow. I hope I didn't offend any geeks in anyway.

I wish the admins would just let me send them a server with faster disks in it. I am sure they are looking into it.

Thats is so wierd because it is fast for some (me) and slow for others... I have no clue why?

Yes it is slow for me too, i have many threads about it in the lounge.

My nephews laptop i bought him is faster, but my laptop or 3 pc's are older and slower.

If i hit ebay or craigslist, ammo, tits what ever no lag there, just this site.

Its the banners.

For the people who have slow loading pages, how many have java installed? I don't have it on any of my machines and I don't have problems with it loading.

It varies per day for me. Tonight i started on a different computer and hit the tb.com banner to load tb.com. It took 5 clicks on that laptop to get the page to load, after that it still was slow.

Lock into this computer and its alot faster. But there is still a delay from posting and page load, at a given time i will have 4-10 pages of this site loaded to get rid of the delay.

quick here at work slow at home. think its my computer at home thats slow not the server

If I click my "Private Messages" link from the main TB.com page i get this.

I can get to my PM's from any other location but for some reason the main page link to my PM's doesn't work. Anyone else have this problem? Other than that no other problems on here.

I am loading all the ads so I can see what is going on. We removed all the ads but the one at the top UNDER the Vendor banners...

Sometimes if we have alot of traffic it slows it a tad bit but not a big noticeable delay...

You can use a variety of programs to stop the ads from loading period...

You and i have the same issue, so do alot of my friends when viewing at work, i think you have to go to user cp first and then load the link.
Its like the popup is there letting you know there is a new message, but some systems block it or will not load it.

So i suggest you get rid of the pm pop up in user cp, you will automatically see the pm count when you log in right? Im just saying thats the first thing i see when i log in, check pms, if there is a number there i know to wait for the pop up after a few seconds instead of trying to keep going.

If you get turn off the pm notification then there will not be a pop up waiting to load after the banners and ads.

Sgrim, i noticed tonight that i loaded pages not logged in with 0 cookies, there was a AD a few posts, or the second post down that slowed me down too.

Just throwing that out there, some times its really fast, alot of times it is really slow. I dont think its my computer, ebay, craigslist, and all my other sites i go to do not take more than a second to load.

I saw that PM problem for the first time today on my dealership computer. I usually don't log in from there but I did today and got that error:confused: I can't imagine what is different, both machines are on the same platform running the same browser version... I will run it by Jay!

I will get him to check the server out to see where the extra load may be coming from too!

I actually do have the PM pop up turned off but i still get this error from the main page. It's no big deal cause i can still get to my PM's but just thought i'd throw it out there so the Admins might be able to fix it for everyone. Also whenever i click on a picture in a gallery i get this error at the top of the page.

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in [path]/gallery/gallery_global.php on line 352

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in [path]/includes/functions_gallery.php on line 1067

The picture still shows up just with that on the top of the page.

Also if i click "Previous Image" or "Next Image" I 100% of the time get this.

No Image specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator

Thats whether a person has 1 pic or 100. I have to use the back button and click on the next pic i want to see. I cant just click next image to see the next pic. Not complainin just throwin it out there cause if you don't know it broken you can't fix it.
