Those ding dongs at GMP

Someone just pointed out to me that my 18 scale 85 GMP GN doesn't have the rear spoiler. I can't believe I never noticed that. I had even blacked out the side chrome bars in the grill to make it look like my 84. But they put the spoiler on the 86/87 1:18 Gns. Those morons, if they can't do it right, they shouldn't do it at all.

If you look under the hood i bet there is a electric fan too.

My 85 doesn't have the spoiler either. I've had a few of these 85's & none had them on them, don't think they were produced with it.

You do know the cars are made in China, right?

GMP is pretty good, but nopbodies prrfetc.... :wink:

The 85s dont have a spoiler, to many chrome bars on the grille, have a intercooled air dam up front, no fan shroud.

I had noticed the other things. Figured it was cost effective to just use the same 86/87 parts for their 1:18 84/85 parts. But the spoiler was on the 86/87 gn's too. Why couldn't they have just used the same cast (or) punches they used for the 86/7's?
