OK guys..I`m getting frustrated. In an effort to better tune my car I purchased the Translator Plus and a new LT1 3in. MAF for my car. Translator plus plugs into the LT1 MAF fine but my stock male MAF connector off the engine wire harness will not plug into the Translator harness. So I contacted Ramchargers and they told me there is an adapter that I must purchase. So I waited to get this and the adapter is the same as what I have on the car. I just can`t connect my stock MAF male connector to the Translator harness. The connector is rounded on one half and square on the other. What am I missing here? Did everyone encounter this same problem? I find it hard to believe that my only alternative is to hardwire it all and mess up my factory harness. Does anybody have a solution?

Did you buy it new? They are not all the same model, they are specific between Buicks/F-body/ etc.

Second it is a translator, or translator plus? The plus model requires splicing into the timing controls.

I bought it new from Ramchargers and specified that it was for a Turbo Buick. I also spent the extra $75.00 and got the `plug and play `harness for the timing controls. Could it be possible that they sent me the wrong Translator Plus??

Do you have a stock MAF? The translator I bought from Ramchargers hooked right up to my MAF.

I took a look at mine which is the trans+ & it goes into the LT1 maf.
1:The Yellow, black & pink wires coming out of the Trans+ plug into the LTI maf.
2:The pink, green, black wires from the Trans+ go into the harness w/ the pink, green, black so that they match up.
3: The other end of that harness plugs into the original plug that went to your original factory maf.

Hope this helps, The Darkside

once you get it all lined out, You will notice a nice improvement

The one i ordered came with everything i needed to hook up to my LT1 Maf
there should be 2 conenctors in the Tplus box , I had to change one of then out, looked like it fit a DSM or something

I`m not looking to keep my stock MAF, which is in the car now. I purchased the 3in. LT1 MAF direct from my local dealer. I believe they originally went in the Caprice/Impala. The Translator Plus has 3 seperate harnesses coming out of it. (1). Which I believe is for the LT1 Maf since it plugs right in with no problem. (2) Which is for the timing control, a gray wire and a black wire, plug right into the plug and play adapter. and the (3)rd. Which should plug into the stock MAF male connector, the one that plugs into my existing stock MAF. But the plug configuration between the male and female connectors are different and they simply will not fit one another. I must either have the wrong Translator or there must be some other adapter.

The pink, green, black wires from the Trans+ go into the "harness" w/ the pink, green, black so that they match up.
The other end of that "harness" plugs into the original "wiring connector that plugged into your original factory maf".

Darkside, when you say that the pink, green, black wires from the Trans+ go into the "harness" with the pink, green, black; what harness are you referring to? Other than the three seperate harnesses that are coming out of the Trans+, that is all I recieved. And this special adapter that they sent me did absolutely nothing.Should I have recieved something else with this other than the Trans+ itself?

If you PM me an address I will send you the part you're missing.
Bob

When I recieved my Trans+ in the mail, all that was in the package was the Trans+ and some instructions. There was no 6in. adapter. And the `special` adapter they sent me after doesn`t look like the one you have on the site.Maybe this is what was missing. I`ll PM you my address. Thanks

I'd call TurboBob's offer uncommonly good customer service. :)

When I caused an issue with my T+, Bob took it back, tested it, fixed my mistake, and returned it.....NO CHARGE.

REGALTURBO, You have in your hand an exceptional product, backed by uncommon customer service. Your patience will be rewarded :)

my two cents :D

Thumbs up to board members who assisted me with this problem especially to TurboBob who stepped up and overnighted the missing link to my Trans+. Thats what I call customer service!

Now I am looking forward to getting back to business, get this Trans+ all hooked up and make something already awesome even better!

Thanks again to everyone...RegalTurbo
