Thread Cleaning Chaser

I am getting ready to get the engine put back together. I need to chase out the threads on the block for the head studs. I know the size of the tap in thread count but how long does the tap/ thread chaser need to be?

There are 7/16-14.

I bought the thread chaser kit from ARP. Kit includes thread chasers from 1/4"-1/2" coarse thread. This way you can chase all the threads on the block.
