throttle body coolant lines

ok I am very new to modding as I just got my GN recently

how do I block the coolant lines and is there a tech artical that I could read to help me out with something so simple?

take the small line going to the TB from the coolant rail off and take the big line off the TB only and route that end onto the nipple where you took the small line off on the coolant rail. so youre just making the coolant flow in a circle through the tube. re-use one of the hose clamps from the small line to secure the big line back onto the coolant rail.

Either loop the lines or just stick something in there that will plug the feed line and clamp it back in place.

I had looped mine, but since those lines are under pressure and the loop is pretty tight, I just put in some plugs. You can also use bee bees.

I have also seen people put a fish tank valve in-line to allow operation both ways.

If you loop the line get a NEW LINE!!!!

One thing that cost me and hour and a half of down time and most of my antifreeze blowing out the windshield wiper area on the highway one summer.

Wasn't the cars fault I looped the old line a week before, it didn't like it.

New line and nice big arc loop. Or get the plugs it looks neater.

These cars are very dependable if you don't do stooopid things.

Don't waste your time. The coolant temp going into the throttle body will be cooler then the ambient temps around the upper motor and throttle body. Unless your car runs over 200º. Buy a laser temp pyrometer and prove it to yourself.
