I am doing an IC setup on my car and have removed the inlet on the back, and welded aluminum plates in and opened up the top, it looks very similar to the JS manufacturing intake. and instead of fighting with putting the TB in front and redoing the throttle cable and mounting bracket, i was wontering if i could keep the throttle body in the same area, and run the air from the turbo throught the TB backwards and out to the IC then back to the top of the intake. I was wondering if it would melt things on the TB, or if the TB can even flow backwards, just a stupid idea because im being lazy.

Thanks, Dan

boosted84 has some good pics of his remote TB setup in another thread here.
nice set up too.

I think with the tb that far away it might hurt throttle response. I have heard that the tb has to be as close to the intake as you can get it so there will be no drivablily problems. I did not have to mod or redo any of the cables on my setup its basically in the stock spot just a little lower. The only thing i did was get an 2.5 87 inlet bell and bolt it to the tb so i could use a silcone coupler to connect it to the intake elbow.

P.S. If you have any questions let me know i did alot of reasarch before i converted to my setup

that far away is nothing compared to it being on the turbo.......
