A local speed shop has a brand new display that they are gonna sell me so I can get rid of my old ATR. But they dont know what size spring is in it, Its a blue 38mm.. does the spring matter if I'm gonna run a boost controller ?

They are selling it ti me for $150 .. seemed like a good deal but if the spring matters I'll just buy A new one.. Please let me know any info you have

Sod at HYETECH can help you out, I got my DP and Tial set up from him two yrs ago. He is a supporting vendor 626-855-1154.

Ya. Get a 38mm, with a race valve.

You can get a big blue spring and a small red spring. That should net around 22 lbs, but you can get a big blue and small blue and that should according to the website get your 23.4 lbs.

I run a big blue and small blue and see 26 psi. May be because i have a manual controller but i have it set with to zero.

email Contact@tialsport.com and ask them where is a vendor in your state.

So your answer is.....BIG BLUE AND SMALL BLUE springs if you want your minimum boost to be 24. But if you want to run 22-24 get a big blue and small red. Also the silver 'race' valve. If you DO NOT get the race valve and run race gas with lead, it will lock up FAST and it will over boost.

Hopefully this answers the questions..

I run the Big Blue 15psi spring in my Tial 38mm on my Talon.
Keep in mind that whatever psi spring you have in the wastegate it will not open any lower than it. So if you want to run 16psi on pump sometimes I'd stick with the Big Blue 15psi spring and just run a manual boost controller for when you want more psi.

Also specify the leaded gas valve. :)

You can get a manual boost controller on ebay for $10, have bought 3 of them for my turbo cars.

Hey Doctor- how much boost can you run with that Big Blue spring and the manual boost controller? Can you post a link to ebay for the boost controller? Thanks!

Tial makes great products. I am very happy with my 44mm unit. Rock solid boost. Cal at Hartline can get Tial products.

I know you are looking at a different unit, just thought I would pass along about the quality of their products.

Full Throttle, Hartline, and Hye-Tech Performance sale them... They are great products IMO! Those are the only ones I use now!
