He wanted to kick it. They got hung up on which direction it would be. Hard to say if receiving or kicking would have been the right call. If they came up short and had to punt it would have given the Jets a short field. Defense had been doing a pretty good job at that point. Either way it was still a loss. Just tying it was a victory considering how many pats starters were out.

^^^Agree. If the Pats got a stop (keep in mind the Pats defense only allowed 3 points in 4th quarter) and go on to kick a field goal to win it, Belichick looks like the genius he is. But it simply didn't work out this time. Sure, valid arguments can be made why you would choose to sit Brady in that situation but at the same time he was clearly struggling (evidenced by his lowest yardage total of the year and they were playing from behind the whole game too). Belichick put his money on his defense yesterday and loss. Anyway, they have bigger problems to overcome. Seems every game they lose someone to injury.

Wtf is wrong with that offensive coordinater,get rid of him and let Ben call the plays,terrible execution on both offence and defence. Pathetic for a team trying to get to the playoffs. How is "coach" Joey Porter on the field talking shit to everybody, and that's not a flag? But then you get a player confronting him(rightfully so) and that is. Wtf?

In a win or go home game with emotions running so high, you gotta let it go. Or at least call offsetting penalties in that situation. They got this one wrong and singlehandedly changed the course of the playoffs. They should be embarrassed by not only this, but their overall performance tonight. I just hope all the officials in tonight's game aren't allowed to be part of any other playoff game moving forward.

The officiating all season has been horrendous across the board. They should bring back the replacement refs. At least we know they suck and what to expect out of them.
