Timeshare Question

Here is the problem.
Went to Mexico, about my forth trip not counting boarder towns. Loved the ocean side resorts. So I decided to look into timeshares, after all we were going about twice a year.
So on my next trip to Puerto Vallarta


#1 Long story short. Lots of Tequila
Bought a timeshare and now don't have time to use it.

and then in Cabo

#2 Long story short. Lots of Champagne :biggrin:
Bought another timeshare and now don't have time to use it.


Would anybody like to by a timeshare ?

Yes / No Maybe


Don't even know were to begin to try to sell these.


Oh, and did you notice the common denominator here.

Rent 'em out, brother! May as well keep them and sell the weeks you aren't using- but have them available when you have time.

There are quite a few companys in Florida that offer you an advertisment package meaning you pay X amount for it to go on the listing or in a show case.

DO NOT fall for that, you wind up paying 700 to 1000 bucks to advertise it and they dont sell it.

I always say its like leasing a car you only get to drive for 2 weeks a year but people fall for the sale tactics all the time... sounds like a great deal at first but aside from the payments. you have the maint fees, yr fees, you cant claim it as second home and after you go once or twice then its just a crutch.

Oh yea,

The one T.S.is for Cabo and Cancun. All Inclusive. It's the cheaper one.
We got this one because of the fishing in Cabo.

The other is for Neveuo Vallarta, Playa del Carmen, Acapulco, Now Cabo
Mazatlan. and they are building in Hawaii. These places are real nice 5 star. It's a little pricey but you know the saying. You get what you pay for.

Not really a good idea,unless you use it or got the $ and time

I'd say if you bought used and reasonable you would be OK
