timing chain

what timing chain is good someome told me to put the stock nylon one back in because i wont get false knock from it because it isnt metal and how fast can you go on a stock replacement timing cover oil pump and oil filter housing

He's jokin right? You want the best, get a rollmaster chain.

As for the other question, the stock cover, oil pump/ turbo feed will go plenty fast. 9s

Im using a stock chain on my 85 and look at the buildup.Stocker should be good to 9s IMO And I was told the same thing about getting false knock.
