hello people; What would you do if the balance of your tires are not correct. Ever since a got a new set and a front end alignment it has'nt been. I've been there once since. So that's the orignal balance and one more. I do not want to go back and now I'll probably have to pay more money to someone else for something that should be right from the get go.
But to stick up for the place I went from outside stickon wheel weights to inner ones on Kirban wheels and I might have to go back.

It's been a pain in my arss.

Find a place that has the roadforce machines. Tires can also be a little heavy in areas from the factory. Sometimes you can rotate the tire on the wheel and get it to balance good. I've had tires that would not balance, I would get them close and put them on the back......

hello people; Thanks Dave for the cum back. I just asked around about that roadforce tire balance and they sayed it's like 100$ to do it and he explained the reasoning. How's that sound to the Turbo world?
more money

Not sure what to say about cum back..........your welcome?. Take the car to a dealership, should'nt be that much. Roadforce makes a big difference, spend the extra money and do it..

hello people; The cum is to get you boys thinking a bit and messing with the language. There is a guy on a MC site I used to go to and he had his own language kinda like he'd been out of circulation for a real long time.Sorry if there's a problem.

hello people; What do you think a balance with new tires can get better after a while? It seems that has happened to me. Although not perfect there alot better. I got the front rebalanced and still did'nt like em. Then I was going to get that road force balance done and I still might. But since somehow they've improved but at high speed there's still not correct.
weird
Also with those HR motor mounts there was a vibration that has gotten better also.
time waits for no one but it's helping me

It may not be a balance problem, but a tire defect. A high or low spot in the tread, or a tread or belt alignment issue. Spin the tire by hand and look for tread movement up and down, or side to side.

Just as a thought.... Look at the date code of the tire.

I recently got a 255-60R15 BF Goodrich Radial TA.

after installing, and driving... I had a serious "bump bump" from one tire....

couldnt find anything wrong... nuthing at all...checked it on the balancing machine time and time again. then one day it rolled down the driveway and down the street........ thats when i noticed it started to "jump"

turned out the tire was made in 2001! and had gotten a flatspot from sitting on its tread in a warehouse!

replaced it with a fresh tire.... and all was better.

sad part..... thats was a long long day arguing with Discount Tire.

I balance mine on an old Snap-On handspin WB200. Didn't shimmy at 118.

Dont spend the money on the road force. If its done correctly spin balanced, you shouldnt have a problem. Take the wheels back to whoever did it and tell them you have a vibration. If your using sticky weights, make sure they carefully clean the inside of the wheel before applying the weight. HTH

hello people; I really have'nt been driving my car a whole lot. But a rep from the place I bought the tires called a while ago and I finnally got back to him yesterday. And now there going to do the roadforce balance for free. Maybe next week. If this doesn't work I don't know what I'll do.

So, you bought NEW tires from these people and they can't balance them? I am inclined to agree with your first assesment and going elsewhere.

But, as stated, it could be the tire. Could be a bent wheel(just sayin'). Could be a poor alignment. Or it could be just a lazy installer not taking the effort to balance them . Spinning them on the rim to minimize the amount of weight needed takes time but this makes the losing of weight less as there isn't as much/many of them.

Stay on them, you paid good money and deserve good service.

hello people; I'am making a move tomorrow by bringing it back to the shop where I got the tires and there going to do the roadforce balance. Wish me luck and there's a ticking noise that was never there before the new tires and I'll tell them about that. I havn't driven the car for a while so tonight I filled the tank and took it for a quick bath to get the dust off of it. Any Mass Holes here familiar with Newton Corner. Anyway it's a suck ass area going over the pike where it can get kinda bad. I grew up here and I know what's happening but other people can be a problem. So tonight I almost got rear ended and I almost rear ended the person in front of me all at the same time.
SUCKED

anyone ever try dyna-beads? They are great on trucks and motorcycles, but I have never used the in a car tire.

Still laughing at this

hello people; Every time I write that I know what people think but I don't give a ****. A reaction is what it's intended to do even though I never here about it.

If you still have a shimmy issue I highly recommend roadforce. Just google it and the Hunter site will give you the names of all the shops that have the machine. For the past year I've been fighting with a slight shimmy. I did everything from swapping tires, having rims checked for true, and going to different shops.

Went and had roadforce done at $20 per tire. Perfection. Smooth as glass. Well worth the money IMO.

Good Luck.

hello ladies and gents; I got the road force balancing and it's still is not correct. This time while driving around I noticed the problem I was feeling would go away when I got off the gas. I kept doing it and I believe it is true.
What do you think? I got a front end alignment when I got the tires but I'am getting sick of the situation. I'am almost done with the car for this year and maybe in the spring I'll get rid of the Generals for something else. They'll do some pro rated thing but I'am just about over the edge.

wheel bearings? Any noise or just shimmy? In the pedal or in the steering wheel?

If roadforce was done that should rule out wheels and tires...

hello people; I've got to say these tires got to be the problem. If that was the only change and an alaignment that was done. But the guy at the shop talked about all kinds of things from the tire actually moving on the rim because of the lubricant they put to the aftermarket rim cumming into play.
I need some advise as I can't be the only one out there that's been in a similar situation.
