Hey guys i put the v2 intake on today but i dont have any thing that says where to hook the vac lines up now . I have the long black vac block with it but where do i change all the vac lines to.

Any one have any pic of how to run the lines and how the brackets go that come with the intake .

thanks guys for any help

do i just run the lines like the stock intake, do i have to run the vac lines a new way with the v2 intake.

i know some body out there knows:)

The V2 is the intake with the TB mounted to it for the IC swap, right??? So the vacuum block is now on the pressure side of the system...I would look at a diagram for the 86/7s and run your lines the same way...

Someone jump in and correct me if I'm wrong...

Yea its the one with the tb in the front for the intercooled. Good thinking with the 86-87 set up.

i gotta go try to put my new trans and stall in now.:D

I had directions, but their at my shop. Do away with the steel lines, they will never fit. OK follow along: the block has two on one side and four on the other, we'll label them 1 and 2 and a b c d. line 1 to purge canister, line 2 to cruise control. line a to air conditioning/heater controls, line b is feeder line from manifold, line c is for pcv hose, line d goes to egr solenoid. You need a line from the boosted side of the manifold to the fuel pressure regulator. good luck.

Totally lost

Hey i'm totally lost when it comes to these vacuum lines too. I understand how to hook up the bacics, but what about the wastegate actuator lines and the wastegate solenoid lines? A little help plz! :)

Ok i got all that now but with the fuel press reg does that T in with the 1-2 or the a-b-c-d . I have two ports on the back of the intake , i think the little port go's to b, but whats the bigger port to.

And the waste gate and waste gate solenoid where do these hook up.

The port on the drivers' side of the car (big one) goes to the vacuum block (with a check valve in it) - this is to keep boost away from things that don't need it. The small port on the passenger side is the boost port - i.e. map, f/p reg, wastegate, boost gauge - anything that needs a boost port.

I'm getting my kit soon too....

We should have someone who has this kit installed draw us a small diagram of their
VAC lines....seems too confusing.

NOCOOLER can u do it ?
MEN IN BLACK ?

Give me some time - I'll see what I can do. Myabe I can Have something for you guys this weekend.

2 Check vavles it over kill - boost can't get to the vacuum block so how is it gonna get to the PCV that is connected to the Vac. Block?

I think i've got the vac lines now but iam not sure. I'll try to write it down on here to see if its right before i do it.

Well, 6 to go...If you had oil blowing out of the oil fill tube and dipstick, then you've got other problems somewhere else...the stock pcv lines on the 84/5 and 86/7 didn't have any checkvalves on them, just the pcv...If you are getting oil coming out of the oil fill tube and dipstick, then you've got blowby...

Do a leakdown test on all your cylinders...I think you'll find that your rings aren't sealing properly and you're pressurizing the crankcase because of it...A compression test won't show it unless the rings are screwed up bad...

On my current motor in my 85 GN, I'm running a TA-51 with a FM IC and the turbo in the stock location, and I'm not getting ANY blowby at all...No oil out the filler cap, no oil out the dipstick...Now on the other motor that used to be in there, it had lots of crankcase pressure, which equals some problems somewhere...

Not meaning to come across as a flame, but you're just covering up a problem...You also are probably not getting too good of gas mileage, are you??? It was night and day difference between my 2 motors...Maximum highway mileage on the first motor was about 20 mpg with stock 85 turbo and stock injs, around town it was about 13-14mpg, Jay Carter street chip or Thrasher, didn't matter...Last year on the trip to the GS Nats, I was getting close to 26 mpg with 50# injs and the TA51, around town 16-17mpg, Joe Lubrant street chip...
