So we finally decided on a "new" car for the wife.... well actually I decided  But to make a long story short, there is 3 different engines available for this car. V8, S/C V8 and TT V12. Obviously I went with the biggest engine they got. So now Im trying to decide if I should de-badge the car, so the only way a trained eye would be able to tell what lurks under the hood would be by looking at the rims (and he must really be a car nut to know the difference) or by the way the engine sounds. Anyways, should I pull off all the badging that give this car away or should I leave everything on the car as it sits? The wife and I dont street race or anything so its not like I wanna try to sucker some guy into racing us. But I just like the sleeper look. What do you guys think?

I think that I know the car in question & I think that either way would be kool.
Like how many TT V12's are there.

I agree, how many TT V12"s

I'd debadge it, stealth look is always cool, and clean, also it doesn't invite
dumb crooks, and illegal's messing with your car.

my motto - don't invite trouble, unless your well prepared for it,

Pull the AMG 65 off and put the 430 on LOL ;)

LOL I have actually seen some crazy stuff at Mercedes when I was working there but not that. I ve seen "AMG's" missing Kompressors and I even seen a CLK Type-R with a huge wing (spoiler) but I have never seen someone down grade and put S430/S500 badges on a S55 or S65..... so maybe I could do that and be orginal? But Im thinking with the HUGE AMG brakes, rims and exhuast, most people (gear heads like us) will know there is something lurking under the hood. But if I keep the "V12 Bi-Turbo" on the sides and the "AMG S65" on the trunk, then every one knows whats under the hood, even the guys with the Hondas....so I dunno, I guess everyone here agress with de-badging so I might go that route! Either way its gonna be a fun car to drive. Hopefully I can get it by the end of next week!!!:D:D:D

I've always loved the Bi-Turbo S class awesome car! Have fun with it ;)!

Yeah, I loved the E55 and the S55 but once I drove the S65's I was hooked. That car pulls and pulls. Over 700tq stock and over 600hp!! First thing Im doing is taking it to the dyno. Then from what I here there is a computer mod (programming) that will give you 80hp and 130tq for $800 (I have a hook up). If I could convince the wife to let me play with here car a little, Im gonna mod the computer and re-dyno it to see what it does. Can you imagine a dependable daily driver with over 800tq?:eek::eek::eek::eek: .... but Im sure there is a few GN members here doing that but hopefully the 65 is a little more reliable, plus heated/cooled dynamic seats, ABC suspension, massaging seats, navigation, bluetooth, keyless go, etc, etc.... holy crap, Im getting a hard on!

Okay, so I guess we are debadging the 65. Thanks for the advice fellas!
