Hey Chris,

I saw your post on one of the Celica boards. Just wondering if you knew anything about engine swaps in a 87 Celica GTS? Would the 3SGTE be a possible swap? J/W Sorry to swing off topic guys!

Yes...it is possible!! stay within the lines of the Celica platform. The MR2's setup is slightly different, but still, the 3SGTE from an MR2 wil still fit with a few modification, I forgot what. I think it has to do with how the accessories are setupped. Another factor will be clearing lines under the hood. later year Celica Alltracs had their intercoolers mounted over the engine. Unless you cut your hood up that shouldnt be a problem. earlier alltracs had their intercooler cored in with the radiator. just have a speedshop like hypers fabricate a front mount intercooler setup. As soon as I get money to buy my turbomotion intercooler kit for my hot air, I'm having hypers modify the setup to use mandrel bends and use a air-liquid intercooler for my car. just add ice . And it aesthetically hides the fact my hot-air would be intercooled. "ahh...veared off subject again" But hey, Give toysport a hollar. they'll a whole lot more thorough than I am.

I know its been a long time but did you got the 3sgte to run with a fast ecm ?
I want to install one at a friends gt4 and i want to know if i ll have any problems
