Yes, I'm the king of off the wall posts. Cant find a Toilet forum. If I did, not sure if I would subscribe to it.

I have two toilets in the house. Both are identical models. One flushes fine. The other needs to be double flushed for solids. Aside from installing a TE44 to assist in flushing, is there a trick to adjusting it.

4 things come to mine
1- water level to low
2-simi clog tolet
3-jets on the toilet are bad

and poor water pressure to the fillvalve

Thanks

Since both of my toilets are the same....I would assume the water pressure should be the same. Will check to make sure the valve is opened all the way.

Does not seem to be clogged. Seems to flush down well, just not all the way. Will try to plung it. Dont have a snake. Any other Ideas?

Not sure what the jets are or how to check them.

I know how to raise the water level by bending the arm the ball is attached to but I have one of those new universal replacement systems with no ball float. Not sure how to raise the level with it.

And I'm eating oatmeal.

Check and see if the double flusher has the same water level in the tank as the other toilet.
Also, do they both have the same internals? If not, that may also be your problem.
Make sure that the plunger on the bottom of your tank opens as far as the good toilet. If not, you will not be getting the same pressure to the bowl during the flush.
Time how long it takes from the time you pull the handle to the time that the tank empties. If that time is shorter on the good toilet, you may have clogged jets or something blocking between the plunger and the jets.
The jets are the little holes around the rim in the bowl that water comes out of during the flush.
Note how low the water level is on each toilet when the plunger closes during the flush. Maybe it is closing prematurely on the double flusher.
Time how long it takes for the tank to fill up once you flush. If your line pressure is really low on the double flusher then less water is going into the tank dueing the flush. If that's the case, try replacing the valve and the line to the toilet.

Did the double flusher always need that or did it get that way after a while? Maybe there's a restriction in the line. Might be worth snaking. You can rent one at a rental store.

run it through one of those playdoh machines first, should thin it out :)

the non ball type have a little screw on top to set the level. there should be an arrow showing which way to turn it.

Could be as simple as shortening or lengthening the chain from the handle to the flapper.

The flapper may be closing to early not allowing the tank to empty on the first flush.

We are all trying to help, but maybe the poops are XXXL and require 2 flushes.

This thread is worthless without pics. JK dont do it.

I agree that it's probably the jets. You need to go around the inside lip of the bowl and scrape out the hard water deposits. They could be restricting/slowing the flow of water into the bowl.

Partial Flushes

Sounds like these Buick guys know all about toilets. Better talk to the Ford group. They may be able to help, they know everything.

If it has always had the problem since install then it may be that some of the wax ring squeezed into the drain. It would be just like a clogged converter on a 3" down pipe.
