Too much oil pressure? (Big Block Ford)

My family just bought a 18ft. 1994 Kachina jet boat with a 460 ford in it. The oil pressure seems a little high to me. At hot idle, the pressure is 60lbs and it buries the 80 pound gauge at anything over idle. Is this too much? Will it hurt anything? Im running 10w40 castrol GTX engine oil and a fram filter as per the manual.

if the gauge is correct you are gonna blow that crappy Fram filter apart. They are the worst that there is .. Try to run 5w-30 to lower the pressure..
