I have right now a AMS500 Controller in my car, and I am looking into replacing it with one that I would like to install
inside the car. Is the AMS1000 the next best way or the MSD or WHAT!!!!
I have a buyer for my 500 and I would like to make a step into going inside the car. Stupid me I had a chance of a
AMS1000 for $500 and turned it down last year.

Anyways inputs would be greatly appreciated.

I see we are de-railing off the track here..:) So as I see we have no other response on the best Boost Controllers to
use! I will have to go with the AMS1000!!

Thanks for the help.
Holly I should have an answer for you soon.

Charlie, you sig. kills me everytime I see it. I hope work is ok..

I really need to change now that I had to close the shop down. Still doing some repair but there really isn't any one out there wanting to pay unless their car is broken down and they don't havea choice.:(

It depends on what you are trying to do and why you dont like the AMS500. I dont see why the AMS500 cant do everything you need it to but the MSD would be a step backwards IMO. I have and still do really like the Innovate/Exile controller. I just picked up a new/used one for $265. I was never a fan of using a boost controller as a traction device by slowing turbine speed down, especially on small motors with really big turbos. I never ran any ramp settings in the boost controller in my former TSO car I poured everything on I had as soon as I could and tuned the car and suspension accordingly.

The innovate has a nice display and is easier to adjust and can be run in manifold or wastegate mod. I know some have had issues with boost spike etc but I have always been able to tune that out running in manifold or wastegate mode. I dont think Exile is still making them but you can find them cheap on YB.com and sometimes here.

If your considering the AMS1000 I would wait and see what the AMS2000 has to offer. It looks like it is going to have some really neat datalogging features that could be useful.

Are you going to run Stephan's S2 motor? Did he ever get that BBC running?

HI Chris
I had someone who was willing to give me good money for the ams500. The reason was that it is mounted under the hood, and wanted closer to my fingers for control. But now they backed down since he picked up most of my 109 engine and that is why
and yes I picked up Stephane`s motor at a price that made it possible for me to finally run a Stage II. Thanks to him that I am getting it at a price that`s a sin. His car is not ready yet. I will see it next Saturday when I go to get the V-6.
