I live in upstate ny in buffalo trying to find a tranny shop to flush my converter so I can use it on my fresh new built tranny I just bought but I can't seem to find anyone to do it its a ati 91/2 in nonlock up any help would be helpful or is this something I can do myself

If it's installed in the car you can flush the entire system by hooking up to the cooling lines with a flush machine. It basically does a fluid exchange.

Not sure I would be installing a converter and running who knows what into a new rebuild. Are there no trans shops in your area? I know that I would ask around, someone cuts them and cleans them out for the racers. Just have to find out who.

You need to find a converter shop to cut it open. There's no other way to flush it out if any metal was floating around. If it didnt have metal go through it and it was in your car before I wouldnt be to worried about it.

Richard Clark has a machine to flush converters...
Come to the Nationals next week and bring it with you
