I have a question on a 9/11 TCS converter i just installed in a friends car. The converter is used with less than 500 miles from my TTA. Professionally flushed before the reinstall.
It's a 87 GN w/stock trans that had zero issues before the swap. Only mods to the trans are a deep pan and Art Car shift kit both of which were in place prior to installing the converter.
Installed the converter and it shifted just like the stock D5 that came out. So we left the TV cable where it was. After 80 miles or so the converter is now locking in what seems like 2nd and is definetely locked in 3rd.
Is there a problem with this converter or the TCC? I know that the converter was installed properly as well. We then adjusted the TV cable to spec with no change to the issue. Then we moved the TV cable in both directions and saw the same issue.
Hopefully this is not a bad converter.
