Hey guys i've got an 88 MC SS with a 305. As we speak my tranny(200-4R) is in the shop getting rebuilt with a trans go shift kit. I'm in need of a new conveter i was looking at the D5 on Bruces site and looks like a good deal, since most lock up conveter for this tranny are $300 and up. I do plan for a gm goodwrench 350 very shortly and i need the converter to work well with it. I put the cam specs below for both motors so any help would be great.

Cam specs for 305
180hp 225lb torque
Cam lift: .404"/.415"
Cam duration @.050: 202/206-deg.
Advertised duration: 320/320-deg.
Lobe Seperation: 115-deg.

350
250hp 310lb torque
Cam lift: .383"/.401"
Cam duration @.050: 194/202-deg.
Advertised duration: 260/268-deg.
Lobe Seperation: 112-deg.

So would the D5 be a good choice or is there some thing better for my setup.

Would work very well.

That would be a good choice. It should work well with your combo.
