How many pound is needed for steel caps and in what sequence . I cant seem to find it in GNTTYPE.ORG

TIA

Lenny

The torque numbers are usually about the fastener, not the cap material. So, what fasteners are you using?

I would go with specs. from ARP on stud and regular manual sequence.Thats what
I did on last build.

same for steel as for cast. go with the arp torque values 100ish

My understanding is you use the torque spec that was used when the caps were fitted to the block. Most shops stamp the torque spec into the pan rail or tell you on the build sheet. Look around the block or contact the builder. If both of those turn out to be of no use, then work with ARP, and learn to measure and determine clearances for an educated guess.
