im in the dog house. how long will it take me to get out. HA!!

i would really like to find out the torque specs for the dog house to intake manifold bolts. i just installed the power plate and would like to make things tight (but not over do it)

It's been awhile since I actually looked these up, but, if memory serves me,,, it's about 25lbs. (don't quote me as an absolute!. If my motor ever gets out of the machine shop, I'll hopefully have the need to dig out the book and look this one up too. Just remember, you're torquing into fairly soft aluminum there, so the spec cannot be too high, or you'll be retapping those holes from overtightening...
 
I have always used the 2-grunt torque spec on the doghouse :D
 
Conley recommends the German torque. "Goot-n-Tight" Always worked for me, but you do need to check them periodically as a good practice.

Dont go too tight, i stripped mine. Dont need a torque wrench for those. Like everybody is saying, go by feel. Much easier than heli-coiling a stripped manifold :)
