TPS Question

I was running DS and when trying to build boost, the TPS jumped from mid 2.XX to 3.XX. Isn't it supposed to be a gradual slope?

It should be just as gradual as the foot moving the throttle But yes, it should be very gradual especially at 18frams/sec, you might have a bad spot in the TPS.

So, I'm guessing that I'll have to clean it out somehow? I'd hate to replace it unless it'll fix the problem.

Doubtful you can clean its internals w/o killing it, you know how plastic epoxyied together things are about coming apart.

Try this, key on, engine off, Directscan running in scope mode so you can clearly see TPS and try slowly going from closed to fully open throttle and see what the graph looks like. Feel free to email it to me and I'll take a look. Doing this very slowly should give a nice gental rise and fall on DS, if the readings jump then the sensor probably has a dead spot, easy enough to check.
