I've been trying to solg\ve a problem with my tps sensor for a while now. I'm hoping maybe the wiring order is screwed up at the plug. I'm running out of Ideas. Anyway, On the TPS plug the letters "A", "B", and "C" are molded into the plastic. On my car the wires look like this.

A = Blue wire
B = Gray wire
C = Black wire

Can anyone verify for me that the plug is wired correctly?
Thanks

Might be right on a Corvette. ;)

A is gray.

B is Dark blue.

C is black, gnd.

According to the manual, too dark to go look. :)

Slavage is right, I am looking at mine right now (gotta love wireless laptops).

As it sits on the car, the top (grey) is 5V with key on. Bottom one is ground (Black), middle is the sensor output (Blue) and should vary with throttle movement.

The ground is shared with the CTS and the ATS. The black on the ATS is easily accessed and is crimped to the ground in the TPS in the harness in case you want to check. If those other 2 sensors work then the ground is okay.

Whoo Hooo!!!:D :D :D :D I came to the same conclusion as you were typing. While waiting for an answer I was out playing and for $h!ts and giggles, I switched the blue and gray wires. So now that my car matches your manual everything seens to be reading as it should. I'm gonna terrorize the neighbors. Ummm.....I mean take a test drive. :cool: Thanks!

I have no freakin' clue. But If I ever found out who did it I'm gonna beat them senseless. I've been through 3 sensors, 2 ECMs, and probed more wires than I care to count trying to figure out what the he!! was going on. Must have happened sometime before I got the car. I know I diddn't do it. I didden't even have the tool to take apart the plug until I borrowed one tonight.
