Track night this weekend??

Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone was planning or thinking about going to the track this weekend. Not sure what day?? Either day would be ok for me. Koa and I were thinking of going down in our GN's. Im off to the hospital now as my sister is gonna have a baby soon!! Anyways post here if you guys are interested in making a track night.

also have a popping sound when I first start the car and give it some gas not sure what is causing it, too much fuel? not enough fuel? not sure, changed the drive belt its alot tighter now no more screeching noise, kinda concerned about the Popping though any idea's too check would be greatly appreciated thanks...............Randy

Do you have a fuel pressure guage?

What exactly are you doing when it pops on start?

yes on FPG and when its cold and fired up and you press the gas pedal their is a popping/backfire noise under the hood.....suspect maybe coil or module will let you all know.....thks randy

Is it really loud??? Need more info. How long does it last?? Always the exact same thing/noise???

I just polished out the GN today. It looks 3 times better now!! Took a few good hours of hard manual labor though but, the end result is well worth it!

It's pretty loud depends on how much pedal is pushed also just changed the belt so maybe that had something to do with it too last one was old and loose would squel alot only when its cold though, any and all help is greatly appreciated and Derek its about time you cleaned up that GN maybe one of these days I might get too see yours...haha ..........Randy

Odd that its so loud. Dont know how the belt could cause the noise but, you never know till you know.....

Im glad I cleaned up that car too!! It is really nice, to me anyway. Someday soon I too hope to have MY car up and running as well. That would be nice..........

As long as the weather holds up, looks like I MAY make it down Saturday night. Dont think Friday would be any good, forecast calls for rain. Koa is now unsure as work seems to be getting in the way!! Oh well............

Sorry, had problems!!

Well, I was really planning on going to the track but, the car is still having some problems so it'll have to wait.

The car stalls and quits at idle on occasion. Also stutters/hesitates/surges upon mild/heavy acceleration. Funny part is that it doesn't always happen and infact accelerates pretty hard at times . BLMS read 105 at freeway speed while INT is steady at 128 (at least while Im looking). O2's read 700-800 mv's too which is high. Acts like a boost/vacuum leak. Dont know where Im gonna start looking but, it'll start tomorrow. Oh well, hope not that many went out to the track tonight.

UPDATE!!

I will be joining Guy and Charlie at the track tonite and tomorrow night as long as the weather holds up. Fixed the bugs with my wifes car (for now) so at least I can go down in a Buick Maybe Ill see others there..........
