I finally managed to get my car to the track for the first time, and made 3 passes, really the first one does not count because I raced my buddys 12.70 Mustang with slicks and I was on regular 245x50x16s radial tires. I got smoked spinning well past 200ft and ran 13.4 at 111mph. Heres where it gets good. 3 guys walk up in the pits and start lookin at the car. One of the guys ask why the car went so slow, and I told him I just put this bigstuff 3 in and I dont have a clue how to tune it! At this point one of the guys offers his help and he looked kind of brainy so he started messing around with the program and after he was done I raced my buddy again, but this time with a set of slicks on my car and went 11.60 at 117 with a 1.70 60 ft. I get back to the trailer and u better believe Im happy---No knock at all. A few more minutes of tuning and the next pass was 11.44 at 122.2 with a sloppy 60ft. of 1.8! the 11.60 pass was at 15 pounds of boost and the 11.44 pass was at 19 pounds of boost. At this point I realized that I need to do a lil suspension work to go any faster. The best part about this is I hoped the car would run low 11s and at this point Im already there. With a 122 mph I should be able to go 11.0 or 11.1 if I can get the suspension figured out. I guess I can update my sig now.

Good Runs!!!

Did you get that guys number and name? What track were you at? I bet you are one happy camper... I know I would be.

Those are some nice numbers first time out especially with a soft 60 foot. What turbo are you using?

That's a good mph! I'd like to know what turbo you're running as well...

I'm hoping that I'll be able to get my trap speed up around yours!

Thanks guys.

Yeah prasads right, Im running a T63E. Ive read a post by the guy I bought it from who said that the T63E's sweetspot is 25-26 pounds of boost. I would love to turn it up but I know the suspension wont handle it at this point. I gotta say I was blown away with the power this cam / head combo makes on such low boost. The next time I go to the track I plan on lowering the air pressure on the slicks to at least 13 pounds. I think that would have really helped but I was nt sure if the car would be driveable on the big end. 122 is not fun if the car is driftin, cuz u know I aint liftin:D .

Yup 122 mph is high 10's with a good 60', low 11's with a crappy 60'. That's the mph for my Malibu in my sig. Get rid of your stock control arms and put some drag shocks in there set at 50/50, and adjust from there. My pinion angle is currently set at -1.5 degrees. I'm also running Moroso drag springs, and they help, but you probably don't want to use those if you drive on the street much. Nice job.
