Trade Stainless Steel Water Neck for Aluminum Neck

Howdy,

Can't find a stainless steel weld on AN-20 nipple for my current billet water neck/thermostat housing so I'm interested in trading for an aluminum unit. I'm going to be cutting it down to very near the end and welding a nipple onto it so it doesn't have to be perfect, just want to avoid paying another $25 for one. It's new and only been used for mockup and I'll throw in a 160 stat for free since I have 2.

Do you have pics of your stainless one? I have an aluiminum one here that has some oxidization<----is that how you spell it???:biggrin: Does yours have a rubber o-ring like mine etc. Any pics? Id have no problem swapping with you if you wanted just to help you out. I always liked stainless over aluminum anyhow.

It has an O-ring and some tape marks on it. I can post pictures if you like but it's pretty much like all the rest for sale by various vendors. Like you I perfer Stainless over Aluminum but I can't get an AN-20 male bung to weld to the one I've got so I'm going to have to convert to Aluminum. You'd be surprised how little space I have in the front of my Turbo6 Hybrid '64 Riviera, have to go with a braided thread on hose.
