let say you add 6 degrees base timing with the trans +
would that actually add wot timing also?
by rights if you add 6 degrees to the base it adds 6 degrees all
the time so you must retard by a minimum of 6 degrees to keep
you wot from adding 6 degrees Right?

The base changes the WOT as well. It affects the complete curve so if you want you can remove some timing from the WOT setting to make it the same as unchanged at WOT. Hope you understand my poor explanation.
