Ok the other week my trans would not make the 2-3 shift under WOT. Plus it was making a whurrring noise when you shifted it into reverse or drive. Fluid was cherry red and smelled fine.
Brought it to the trans shop they pulled the pan and found that there was a small tube in the valve body that had fallen out. They put it back and changed the fluid and filter.
I picked it up yesterday and it was shifting fine. This trans normally shifts extremely hard from 1-2 shift. It felt totally normal yesterday. The roads were wet so it would just spin a little when it hit second. Just like it always had.
Now this morning when I drove it, it is slipping the 1-2 shift. Under normal accelaration it slides into 2nd almost imediately. The fluid level is good. I am toatlly stumped on how it could be fine then not. Sorry about the long post. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
