I am still trying to decide if I want to put my GN engine in an F or G body when it's finished. The aerodynamics and lower weight of the 3rd gen f bodies are pretty attractive points. I just wanted to ask about tranny options for F bodies.

Of course, if you get the hard to find TTA parts, it can be a bolt in. But that stuff is rare.

One alternative approach would be to get a BOP to chevy adaptor and fab some engine brackets. But then I still have to beef up the 700 and get a decent converter, plus somehow control lockup.

Another, less expensive (important to us penny pinching students) option is to use a BOP TH350 and a B&M adaptor to hook up the F body torque arm. Still need to make motor mounts, but the nifty low cost go-fast TH350 stuff is then usuable.

I'm kinda looking for some insight here. Am I overlooking a option? What prep does a TH350 need to handle a low 12, high 11 sec 3400# car? Thanks for any ideas.
