Just wondering what everyone is using for their pressure test guage? Especially for ease of installing, checking pressures, and removing for multiple vehicles...

nothing is EASY

I put a 45 degree (1/8 in. NPT X 4 AN ) fitting in the port--pointing down and toward the front --about a 45 degree. I have found this is easiest access when putting nut on the adapter fitting. A 6 ft. 4 AN line with a min. of a 300 psi gage on the other end. This gives you enough length to tape the gage to windshield. Running the line down and then up AWAY from exhaust. I once had some extra lines with gages on them but have given them away to friends. You could make your own if you can come up with the necessary fittings. I once though about making them and selling but figured the market wouls be small and have to eat half of them. I leave the fitting in the side. Keep in mind when sizing a gage --it needs to be able to read twice what it will see @ max. A rule of thumb, I suppose to protect gage. I have use a 300 lbs. gage with it reading 250-275 and it appears to still be accurate. Best of luck.--Lee

The Snap-On kit retails for $399, but can be found cheaper. The Matco kit sells for $130, which isn't too bad. This is my fourth or fifth time borrowing one so I figure it's time to invest...

Lee, You're saying you leave the 45* fitting in the case, so it's an easy hook-up for each time you want to check the pressure. What are you using to cap the 45* fitting when there's no guage installed?
