Tranny problems

well i just took in my car for the 8th time now since last year to get my tranny fixed again they seem to do a good job at first and them bam its out again what could be causing it he says its the write casing and everything but the internals are different but ive read a couple places that they weren’t to much different from the TH200 or TH200c and that its all about how they calibrate it could that have something to do with it also i don’t have an aftermarket tranny cooler but the one on the radiator is almost brand new only been on a few months could that be a problem its not getting cooled enough.

well i talked to him the next day he hadnt gotten to it he said everything in it was brand new and was all good parts he said i could maybe put a extra in line filter to help and that a aftermarket cooler could help but wasn’t to sure what could be causing it to start slipping im goanna give him a call later to day to see if he has found out ne thing ne body have an idea what could be going wrong.

TH200C and a TH200-4R are two deferent animals 3 speed vs 4 speed.

I'd say it's past time to look for another trans builder. Someone who knows 2004R's.

well the main reason i we go to him is my dad went to school with him and his brother thieve done my 83 and my 70 C-10 and have never had any problems with them plus he gives us a pretty good deal and has been working with trannys since high school. i called them today and they should have it ready to pick up tomorrow he said something about the planetary something got into it and would not let it shift but im going to be getting a tranny cooler and a in line filter hopefully this will be the last time.
